I say this as a figurative sculptor of nearly 20 years. Of all the touristy things I've done, the biggest ripoff was the Crazy Horse monument, no question. Overpriced. Underwhelming. Out of the way. A waste of time. The Black Hills are filled with tourist traps, but this was the worst. Devils Tower, however – now that is worth the drive. The greatest marketing scheme ever. There's signs in other countries. It's just become this inside joke.
